The correction itself wasn’t much of a big deal — a story by the Washington Post’s Paul Farhi misidentified the News Media Guild as the Newspaper Guild — but its location sure was noteworthy: The Post, ironically, had to issue the correction on a story about reporters getting fired for mistakes, which included the news that a third AP journalist had been canned for that whole Terry McAuliffe debacle. It proved Farhi’s lede nicely: “Reporters, you may have noticed, make lots of mistakes.”
