Kirsten Gillibrand Has Super Low Standards for What Constitutes an Interesting Story

U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) walks on crutches as she arrives at the Senate Democratic Policy luncheon at the U.S. Capitol October 15, 2013 on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The U.S. government shutdown is entering its 15th day as the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives remain gridlocked on funding the federal government.

When Kirsten Gillibrand appeared on crutches yesterday, she told reporters that she had “a real hell of a story, but I’m not going to tell it to you.” But her spokesman now tells Roll Call that Gillibrand merely “hurt her calf while exercising,” which is literally the least interesting story we’ve ever heard. So we’re just going to assume it was actually something with werewolves.
