
In a particularly grim entry for the “where are they now” file, a jury in Durham, North Carolina, found Crystal Mangum, the woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her in 2006, guilty of second-degree murder for stabbing her boyfriend. Mangum claimed she had stabbed Reginald Daye in self defense during a fight in 2011, but after six hours, the jury decided she was criminally liable, and a judge sentenced Mangum to fourteen years in prison.
