Police are not yet sure whether the perpetrator of the latest random assault in Brooklyn, an attack Monday on a 72-year-old Russian woman, was playing the “knockout” game. But regardless of whether it was part of a game or not, it’s still terrible. Fortunately, Mira Harpazi was not knocked out when a young man by himself approached her and wordlessly punched her in the mouth before running away without stealing anything. The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
