A huge explosion in Pelham Bay Park rocked houses in the Bronx on Monday night, and many aren’t buying the explanation offered by the authorities. Law enforcement sources tell the Post that the blast was caused by fireworks set off in a garbage can on a pitcher’s mound in the park around 11:15 p.m. An NYPD source explained that they were “high grade professional fireworks, very strong fireworks,” but on Twitter, people questioned how any fireworks could create a blast that shattered windows several blocks away and was heard in Westchester, Long Island, and Bergen County, New Jersey. Conspiracy theorists, it’s time to do your thing.
