No, it isn’t your imagination – we’ve definitely been seeing less of Cory Booker since he was elected senator. While the former Newark mayor remains an avid tweeter, Politico reports he’s purposely keeping a low profile to avoid accusations of showboating. “He’ll be extremely selective about who he wants to talk with. He wants to come in and strike the right notes,” an aide said. “What goes into creating success [in the Senate] is a very, very different sort of equation than what happened in Newark.” It appears the new equation involves avoiding Meeting the Press, asking Senator Chuck Schumer for advice, and pretending to laugh at Joe Biden’s jokes.
