America’s Christmas vacation has finally begun: The President, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and First Dogs Sunny and Bo landed in Honolulu at around midnight local time, and they won’t be back in D.C. until January 5th. The family does not plan to participate in any public events while in Hawaii, which should make up for last winter, when Obama had to go home early to deal with the fiscal cliff. “The end of the year is always a good time to reflect and see what can you do better next year,” he said at a Friday afternoon press conference. “I am sure that I will have even better ideas after a couple days of sleep and sun.” We’re going to hold him to that.
