Every summer, near-naked New Yorkers are photographed sunbathing to illustrate the extreme heat. The winter equivalent, with much less skin, are these portraits of people bold enough to not only leave the house during this miserable, frigid week, but actually embrace the snow by frolicking in it. The best thing about sledding, though, is that it pretty much always ends in a crash, so we’re skipping right to the good part. Looking at the pictures offers most of the fun, without having to go outside.
