Apparently some Newark residents still hadn’t realized that Senator Cory Booker is no longer personally handling their snow-removal needs, but he couldn’t resist the shovel’s siren song for long. After informing one Twitter follower that he’s no longer directing the city’s salt trucks and plows, Booker offered, “if u need help with your driveway, I’m about to salt and shovel my own, I can easily head over to u.” And soon enough he was planning to “get a group of volunteers to shovel tomorrow for seniors and others” and make his way across New Jersey. The Senator needs help – and salt.
