The most aggressive junk mail of the year so far — there is competition — comes from Bank of America, in the form of a credit-card offer to the writer Lisa McIntire. Or, as she’s addressed both on the envelope (delivered to her mother) and the letter inside, Lisa “Is a Slut” McIntire.
Asked if she is acquainted with anyone who works in mailings for Bank of America, McIntire told Daily Intelligencer, “Not that I know of!” She said the letter “initially made me nervous because I’m a feminist writer on the internet, but I don’t think it’s personal.” Just a random attack on Lisas everywhere.
