During the last presidential election, Joe Scarborough declared, “I have no plans to run in 2016,” after Vanity Fair started a rumor about his presidential ambitions by inexplicably printing an old interview with the Morning Joe host. Recently, Scarborough 2016 got another (presumably) unsolicited bump when Bill Kristol dropped his name in a list of candidates he expects to see at the first GOP debate. Scarborough isn’t about to squander an opportunity twice, so on Wednesday he told radio host Hugh Hewitt he “won’t rule anything out.” “I’ve always said and I’ve always been open about the fact that the greatest job I ever had and the greatest honor I’ve ever had was being in the House of Representatives,” he said. “It was an absolute thrill and I had to get out because I had young children to raise and I wanted to be back home in Pensacola. No, I’ve always said I wanted to get back in. It’s just a matter of time. We’ll see what happens.” But really, he’d never make Mika and the gang to choose between him and Chris Christie.
