And they’re exactly as grim as you’d expect: Five of the victims — Griselde Camacho, Carmen Tanco, Andreas Panagopoulos, George Amadeo, and Rosaura Barrios — died from a combination of blunt trauma injuries. Three others, Rosaura Hernandez, Jordy Salas, and an unidentified eighth person, perished as a result of smoke inhalation and burns. Meanwhile, investigators are still sifting through the wreckage at the site of last week’s two-building explosion and collapse for clues as to what triggered the blast, which has been blamed on a gas leak.
