It’s a little chilly out there, huh? Soon it will be wet, too. According to the people at the National Weather Service, almost a month’s worth of rain — 3.75 inches — is going to fall on New York over the next two days. (To put that in perspective: The city has only gotten about 2.8 inches over the rest of April, plus a tiny bit of snowfall.) Showers are expected to begin later today, but the real hair- and shoe-ruining will happen in between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning, when a flood warning will be in effect. The deluge should keep the sky gray and the temperatures in the low 50s until it’s over. This is just nature’s way of making sure everyone feels that they’ve earned their May.
