Police say they nabbed a drug dealer this week when he reported heroin he left in a rental car to the company’s lost-and-found. Of course, 30-year-old Carlos Taverez of the Bronx wasn’t stupid enough to say he left 250 packets of heroin in the car he returned to a Budget Rental Car Agency at Newark Airport; he allegedly reported that he forgot a batch of “children’s medicine.” Workers were still suspicious, as children’s medicine doesn’t tend to come in small paper packets labeled “Fat Boy.” When Taverez came to pick up the package he was greeted by undercover cops dressed as rental car workers and charged with heroin possession with intent to sell.
