Last week, 38-year-old cop Dennis Guerra died from smoke inhalation and carbon monoxide poisoning he suffered while responding to a blaze in a Coney Island housing project building. On Friday, 16-year-old Marcell Dockery, who allegedly set a mattress on fire in the high-rise because he was “bored,” was charged with second-degree murder. Four other people, including Guerra’s partner, were injured, and Dockery is also facing charges of assault, reckless endangerment, and arson.
