After finding 39-year-old Tracy Jordan stabbed to death in her Bergen County home Friday night, New Jersey police began a search for her estranged husband, John Robert Jordan, and the couple’s 7- and 8-year-old sons, who their father had taken out of school under false pretenses earlier that day. The AP reports that a five-state Amber Alert was issued, and searches of relatives’ homes were conducted in South Carolina and California.
Just after midnight, Jordan was spotted by FBI and local police officers pulling up to a Greenville, South Carolina residence in his deceased wife’s car. He was quickly arrested and charged with murder and possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and is currently awaiting extradition proceedings. The boys, fortunately, were unharmed.
