Phone Thieves Send Obnoxious Selfie to Teen Victim’s Friends, Mom

Last month, 14-year-old James Pugliatti was just trying to enjoy a night on the town when his iPhone 5 was stolen at an “under-18 event” at West 48th Street’s Stage 48. The two thieves then used the Westchester teen’s phone to take a subway selfie, which they Snapchatted to all of the kid’s friends. (Luckily, one of the friends was quick enough to take a screenshot.) These dudes are so mean that they also sent Pugliatti’s mother, Annette, a text from her son’s phone reading, “Mom I’m so horny.” “They’re pretty stupid,” the younger Pugliatti correctly observed in the New York Post. “The whole thing was really annoying. It ruined my night.” The thieves — who probably would have gotten away with the crime if they hadn’t tangled with their victim’s mom — are now wanted for petit larceny, so take a good look at that selfie.
