While one former First Lady’s recent memoir wasn’t particularly well-received, it appears publishers aren’t swearing off books by political spouses. The Daily News reports that Mayor de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, is meeting with editors and agents about a possible book project. “She is a writer first, so naturally she has thought about a book for years,” a source said. McCray reportedly wants to pen the book herself, without the help of a ghostwriter. Since New York’s First Family tends to be rather forthcoming, there’s a chance this one won’t read like a 300-page press release.
