“Assuring equal protection for same-sex couples does not diminish the freedom of others to any degree,” ruled a federal judge in Kentucky today, continuing the trend. Although the decision is on hold pending appeal, it’s likely only a matter of time before couples can wed. In August, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals will consider bans in Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee together. Might as well save everyone some time.
