“He did not appear, necessarily, to be a good lawyer; he didn’t appear to be a nonlawyer,” said a colleague of the man known only as Stephen G. Dickerman, or “Shlomo,” who spent the last five years pretending to be a lawyer for $400 an hour. Not even the man’s fiancée has any idea who he really is, the New York Times reports, so he was probably a pretty decent boyfriend, too.
