As many have observed, Obama did not pick the greatest time to take his two-week summer vacation. Though the president has gotten some work done on Martha’s Vineyard — he delivered on-camera statements about Iraq and Ferguson, and called foreign leaders to discuss the situations in Ukraine and Gaza — the AP reports that he is now returning to Washington for a couple of days of “unspecified meetings with Vice President Joe Biden and other advisers.” (He’ll go back to Massachusetts on Tuesday.) The White House has declined to say what Obama plans to talk about in D.C., but it probably won’t be gossip about Hillary Clinton.
