Security Camera Captures Terrifying Bronx Bodega Shooting

The NYPD has released some very intense security footage of a shooting that happened late Friday night at a bodega on Webster Avenue in the Bronx. According to witnesses who spoke to the New York Daily News, the incident was the result of an argument between two men who had been filming a rap video nearby. “They were fighting over who’s the star, who’s better,” said the store’s own, Ali Abdul, who also said that he was familiar with the pair and that they seemed to be “best friends,” at least until this weekend. “They were drunk. They spit at each other then one guy pulled out a gun and shot the other guy five times.”

In the video, a guy can be seen taking a few steps forward and repeatedly shooting the 37-year-old victim, who is already on the floor. After pistol-whipping his former friend a few times, the suspect walks out of the bodega, still holding a drink. Five other dudes then file past the wounded man, apparently without offering him any kind of help. He’s now at in critical condition at Lincoln Medical Center, having been shot in the chest and both legs (a bullet also grazed his head, the police said.)

The suspect — described as a five-foot-ten, 180- to 210-pound black man in his early 30s — is still at large, and the NYPD would obviously like to hear from anyone with information about him.
