Many politicians have been making voter-imposed career changes recently, but rather than cashing in on Wall Street, Christine Quinn is returning to politics. The New York Times reports that the former City Council speaker has joined the board of NARAL Pro-Choice New York, where she will provide political advice and help with the midterms. “What I’m going to be doing is doing everything I can,” she said, “to make sure that Albany is soup-to-nuts pro-choice.” The woman who would be mayor also praised the man who defeated her in the primary — by pointing out that he’s making kids sad by sending them to pre-K. “I really hope that Mayor de Blasio is feeling very proud of himself for that important step forward this week,” she said. “All of those unhappy 4-year-olds!” Quinn joked. “He can be very proud of all those frowns.”
