Surprise, Surprise: Judge Says BP’s Recklessness Caused Gulf Oil Spill

A U.S. district judge has ruled that BP’s “reckless conduct” is what caused the 2010 Gulf oil spill, the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history. According to the AP, the ruling could open BP up to “quadruple the amount of civil penalties” for pollution.
