The Michigan man who shot and killed 19-year-old Renisha McBride as she banged on his front door for help in the middle of the night has been sentenced to a term of 15 to 30 years for second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter, plus another two for a felony weapons conviction. Wafer was convicted last month in the 2013 shooting after a jury deliberated for less than two days. He faced life in prison.
