A “gas-like smell” prompted an evacuation at Yonkers Middle High School on Wednesday and sent 152 people — including 149 students — to the hospital. The smell started emanating from the cafeteria when students began reporting “eye irritation and shortness of breath.”
It’s unclear exactly what the source of the smell is, but we’re not ruling out Axe Body Spray.
