“Aspiring journalist” Vandon Gene really wanted to get a selfie with Anderson Cooper, CNN’s second-hottest correspondent (Anthony Bourdain is the first). Cooper, however, was busy reporting live from Ottawa, where a terrorist shot and killed a soldier at Parliament Hill. The scene was somber and tense, so Cooper declined the selfie request, reasoning that “it seems wildly inappropriate” to take a photo on a day someone was killed.
Instead of accepting Cooper’s completely reasonable response, the “aspiring journalist” pitched a hissy fit, calling Cooper an “ass” on Twitter and uploading this video of his “rant.”
Selfie entitlement: It’s a real problem.
