In 2011, Matt Ficarra was paralyzed from the chest down in a boating accident. But on Saturday he married his fiancée, Jordan Basile, and was miraculously able to walk down the aisle using a robotic exoskeleton. The future is here, and it’s making us kind of weepy?
Using the Ekso, a battery-powered bionic suit, Ficarra was able to walk down the aisle and stand as he exchanged vows with Basile. He also got to look like a badass cyborg on his wedding day, so really it was a win-win.
