Anti-Gay Lawmaker Wants to Ban Tim Cook From Russia Because of Ebola and AIDS

Tim Cook’s coming-out may have elicited praise from Mark Zuckerberg and other Silicon Valley elite, but the reaction of one Russian lawmaker was decidedly different. Vitaly Milonov, the well-known hatemonger behind numerous anti-gay laws, now has a new project: keeping icky, diseased Tim Cook out of Mother Russia.

What can he bring us? The Ebola Virus, AIDS, gonorrhea?” Milonov asked in an interview with website Flashnord. “They all have promiscuous relations [in the West]. Ban him forever.” (Not that Russia needs any help from invading American homosexuals when it comes to spreading HIV — the country’s infection rate grew 7 percent last year.)

In Milonov’s eyes, Cook’s announcement about his sexual orientation is a cheap ploy for sales. “He’s like an artist who first develops as an artist, and then announces that he’s a homo,” he said. “And now everyone knows that Apple is made by homos, and everyone’s mind begins to change — oh, but he’s talented … This is a subtle political move.”

Not to worry, Vitya. Tim Cook probably doesn’t want to hang out with you, anyway. Also, quick: Get that dirty phone away from your prime minister.
