The world’s most controversial car service has been banned from India’s capital city, after a 26-year-old woman said one of the company’s contractors in Delhi took her to an isolated area and raped her. Now Uber has been blacklisted for “misleading costumers” with inadequate background checks and the driver has been arrested, according to the BBC. The company is still accepting reservations, however, and there’s no word yet on how many resources will be diverted from investigating rape cases to tracking down rogue Ubers.
