Anonymous Entrepreneur Donates $1 Million to Families of Murdered NYPD Officers

An anonymous businessman has given $1 million to the families of murdered NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu. “He’s just a wealthy entrepreneur in Hong Kong,” explained Robin Mui, the Sing Tao newspaper CEO who helped facilitate the donation. “He doesn’t want his name to be published. As simple as that.”

The money will be split evenly between the two families. Liu’s father, Wei Tang, will receive $100,000 a year for five years, while the other $500,000 will go into an educational fund for Ramos’s two teenage sons, Justin and Jaden. The $1 million gift comes a week after Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced that it had raised $800,000 to cover the cost of mortgages and renovations on the Ramos and Liu family homes.
