The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Florida recently gave its digs a mini makeover, ordering fancy new rugs emblazoned with the sheriff’s star and a drawing of the state of Florida, to place in the building’s entryway. But there was one tiny problem: a typo on the seal of one of the rugs accidentally switched out “Dog” for “God.”
The Tampa Bay Times reports that the rugs’ order forms had the correct spelling, so it’s unclear whether it was a genuine mistake made by the manufacturer or some sort of prank. Either way, the sheriff’s office disposed of the “In Dog We Trust” rug, so keep an eye out on Craigslist if you’re in the market for some cheap home furnishings.
