Today Alaska became the third state where recreational marijuana use is legal (although selling pot, or even bartering for pot, is still illegal), and Wasilla — hometown of Sarah Palin — celebrated by outlawing residents from making edibles, like pot brownies, in their homes. “Marijuana clubs” have also been prohibited.

One city council member who voted against the law yesterday “expressed concern about police ‘knocking on the door and walking into somebody’s house to see what kind of brownies they’re making, or Jell-O.’”

The Alaska Dispatch News can answer all other Alaska pot questions, including, “Can I carry pot in my car? In my purse? In my hair? In a box? With a fox?”
