New Yorkers just managed to go seven full days without killing each other. According to the NYPD, the city’s most recent murder was way back on the night of February 1, when 28-year-old Shadale Graham was shot to death in West Harlem. The last time this happened was at the end of January 2014, with the murder-free streak eventually stretching into ten days. (At the time, the police said that the phenomenon was at least partially attributable to the cold.) Good work, everyone.
