
It’s not just your imagination, guys: A new report released by the MTA reveals that the subways are getting more and more crowded, and that’s causing a major uptick in delays. The New York Post reports that weekday trains were delayed a total of 14,843 times in December 2014 owing to overcrowding, a 113 percent increase from December 2013. And though some weekend service did improve, the weekday on-time performance of every single line decreased between 2013 and 2014, resulting in weekday trains running late 7.9 percent more frequently than last year. Better get out while you still can.
