This process — most dazzling in its dimwittedness during cable-news coverage of MH370 — often involves cartoon reenactments, and plane-mystery experts at CNN and the Today show both thought it necessary to show their viewers what a co-pilot knocking on a cockpit door might look like.
Deadspin first noticed CNN’s slightly different interpretation of knocking, which someone at the news organization thought was something viewers would want to watch.
ABC News, on the other hand, thought that people would want to tune in and see what it looked like on the other side of the door.
