If you didn’t attend your prom or graduation because you find such things banal, Carly Fiorina may be the presidential candidate for you. The Wall Street Journal reports that the former Hewlett-Packard CEO plans to kick off her presidential campaign on May 4 with an online announcement followed by a conference call with reporters. Fellow Republicans Mike Huckabee and Ben Carson are expected to announce that week with schmaltzy events in their hometowns, but Fiorina doesn’t even have a public event scheduled that day. And rather than rushing off to Iowa or New Hampshire, Fiorina will speak at TechCrunch’s Disrupt NY 2015 on May 5. Too bad those impressed by such rebelliousness probably aren’t registered to vote.
