A Des Moines Register reporter was in the women’s bathroom at a Ted Cruz event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, likely thinking she was safe from politics for a few minutes, forgetting that the primaries are less than a year away and that candidates have a “gotta catch ‘em all” mentality when it comes to Iowa residents. Outside the stall, Heidi Cruz was telling potential voters to go visit her husband’s website. The reporter later conducted an interview while washing her hands, before leaving the restroom to go write the most poetic sentence that has yet been written about the 2016 election.
