MTA Confirms Subways Are Officially As Crowded As They Seem

In 2014, 1.75 billion people rode the subway, up 2.6 percent from 2013, according to a new report from the MTA. That’s the highest subway ridership has been in 65 years, and explains why it’s impossible to comfortably ride a train during rush hour.
