A Florida man captured the photo of a lifetime while on a hike with his family over the weekend. As they cleared some brush to get a better look at nearby gators, they spotted a raccoon taking a joyride on the back of one.
Richard Jones said the raccoon became startled when it spotted humans in its neighborhood and accidentally hopped on the gator’s back in an attempt to escape.
“I snapped a lucky picture right when the gator slipped into the water and before the raccoon jumped off and scurried away,” Jones said.
We prefer to think the raccoon and the alligator were simply riding off into the sunset together.
