Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the UC Irvine School of Law, wrote an op-ed in the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday. He needed to warn the world about his law students, who threaten to slowly morph legal writing from a place where reason reigns to a free-for-all where people who pen John Grisham–esque opinions in the style of a mishmash of Oscar Wilde and David Mamet rule.
“For this trend,” he writes, “I largely blame Scalia.”
