Time Warner Cable owes a Texas woman $229,500 after it subjected her to more than 150 robocalls that weren’t even meant for her. Araceli King endured call after call for a guy named Luiz Perez, who once had her number and was apparently late paying his bills. She continued enduring them after she explained the mistake to Time Warner and continued enduring them after she sued the company. Nearly half of the calls, in fact, came after her lawsuit. U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein called that “incredible” and awarded King $1,500 per robocall. And with that, Time Warner Cable remains the worst.
