Jon Stewart only booked comedians as guests for his final week hosting The Daily Show, but he still had to address a heavy topic on Monday’s show. Earlier in the day, Amy Schumer joined her cousin Senator Chuck Schumer to push for gun control, but when asked about the shooting in Louisiana during a showing of her film Trainwreck, Schumer didn’t get into politics. “Man, what a bummer,” she said. “I was legit heartbroken to get that news.” She joked that when she saw all the missed calls on her phone, “I assumed there was a sex tape of me out or something,” but concluded, “To hear that news, it broke my heart. It was so horrible.” Schumer spent the rest of the interview discussing getting kicked off Martha’s Vineyard and hanging out with Jennifer Lawrence. Overall, the interview was as hilarious as you’d expect … and kind of weird.
