It’s August in New York, and tensions are running high: Everything smells like garbage, more tourists than usual are crowding the streets, and — even with this week’s temperature drop — it’s too hot. The situation seems especially unpleasant for the people who make a living by donning non-breathable character costumes in order to extract cash from the folks passing through Times Square, so you can only sort of blame the Spider-Man who, according to what a witness told DNAinfo, went after a guy who was “harassing several performers” in front of Toys ’R’ Us on Tuesday afternoon.
