White House Wishes Infant Happy 101st Birthday

The Shosted family in Utah are experts at getting personalized messages from the White House for their kids’ birthdays: They have a letter from the Bush family for one of their girls, and just got one in the mail for their son, Benjamin, who is about to turn 1. It reads, “Dear Benjamin: Happy 101st birthday!” The family isn’t sure whether it was a mistake or whether another Benjamin who’d been around for a century accidentally received a message noting that he had a long, exciting life ahead of him. The Shosteds joke that they are ready for their son’s Social Security checks to arrive. The news crew that came to talk to them did not ask what the secret to Benjamin’s long life was, but it probably has something to do with clean diapers and eating lots of textureless food.
