Some politicians might apologize after spewing wildly incorrect information about an entire racial group, but Donald Trump isn’t one to apologize — or even delete a widely discredited tweet. On Monday night’s O’Reilly Factor, the presidential candidate defended his decision to spread a graphic that states, incorrectly, that that the vast majority of black and white murder victims are killed by blacks, saying he merely “retweeted somebody that was supposedly an expert and also a radio show.” He asked, “Am I going to check every statistic?”
The “expert” Trump retweeted is a guy named @SeanSean252, whose bio reads “NEVER EVER VOTE RINO AGAIN! If you are not Conservative? Please don’t follow me as I will not Follow you back ever! I am done meeting in the Middle.” @SeanSean252 mentioned @WayneDupreeShow in the tweet, so Trump might have been confused, but for future reference, legitimate government organizations tend not to tweet out statistics illustrated with a stock image of a thug firing a pistol. (The neo-Nazi who may have been the first to post the image on Twitter has deleted his account.)
Bill O’Reilly wasn’t happy about the tweet, but for a different reason than everyone else. “Look, you know I’m looking out for you, right? You know that?” he said. “Don’t do this. Don’t put your name on stuff like this. Because it makes the other side, it gives them stuff to tell the ill-informed voter that you are a racist. I mean, you just handed them a platter.”
If it weren’t for that tweet, the liberal media would have absolutely no reason to suggest that Trump’s racist!
