Two Dead After Fire at Williamsburg Apartment Building

A massive fire engulfed a three-story apartment building in Williamsburg early Monday morning, leaving two dead and at least ten people homeless. Around 200 firefighters reported to the scene at Richardson and Lorimer streets, and it took them three hours to get the blaze under control. A tenement building attached to the apartment building also went up in flames. Nearby residents said that the fire started after what sounded like an explosion. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
