About a week after a Staten Island resident reinstalled a “T” for Trump lawn sign that was bigger and better than one intentionally burned before it, we learn of another New Yorker struggling to make his support for the candidate publicly known.

Albany-area resident Robert Marini decided to take serious precautions after at least five official Trump campaign signs had been lifted from his lawn since June. He erected a new homemade sign specially tailored to deter local pranksters and/or liberals:

According to the Albany Times-Union, the sign is “encased” in concrete and encircled with barbed wire and lights. Just in case the thief is enticed past the booby traps, the sign warns: “DO NOT Touch The Sign. If you are reading this, you are TRESPASSING. You WILL BE PROSECUTED To the Fullest Extent Of the Law.”

Marini says he has a security camera, but hasn’t been able to identify the pilferers. “I don’t have enough time in my life to go around stealing Bernie Sanders signs or Hillary Clinton signs,” Marini told the Times-Union. “It’s not something that I even thought about doing. Everybody’s got a right to free speech, right? At least we think so in America today. But some people on the left don’t believe in that, so they just take what’s not theirs.”

Marini has not yet involved the police in previous lawn-sign disappearances, but the same rules do not apply for this fortified signage. “They steal this one,” he said, “they’re going to get a police report.”
