Angry Man Smashes Up Apple Store With Tiny French Bowling Ball

An unnamed man was arrested this week after damaging over $1,000 in products at an Apple Store in Dijon, France. The ordeal reportedly began over a refund issue: “Apple is a company that ‘violated’ European consumers’ rights. They refused to reimburse me, I told them: ‘Give me my money back.’ They said no,” the man says, in French, in a video of the incident. “So you know what’s happening? This is happening!”

“This,” of course, being the man wandering the store with metal pétanque – bocce — ball in hand, beating up iPhones one at a time. Bonus points for the way he never bothers to take his Apple earbuds out of his ears and the stylish single safety glove on his left hand.

According to France Bleu, the man was into custody after attempting to flee the scene. All in, a dramatic day for the geniuses at Apple Dijon, even if a random Frenchman shattering Apple products with sporting equipment only comes in second place in the competition for world’s best Apple store freakout. (First place, of course, going to the great AppleCare meltdown of 2013.)
