Back before they were on opposite sides of a presidential campaign, before Donald Trump called Bill Clinton a rapist and Clinton called Trump a racist, the former president and the future president were pretty good pals. Total bros. Lifelong chums. At least, that’s the story told by a handful of pictures taken during the last summer of Clinton’s presidency.
The two dozen snapshots, released today by the Clinton Presidential Library after a Freedom of Information Act request from Politico, show Clinton and Trump hanging at Trump Tower and the U.S. Open in June and September of 2000. The best photo, shown above, has Trump and Clinton posing with Melania Trump and swimsuit model Kylie Bax, one of Trump’s many exes. Clinton’s arm is around Melania. Trump’s arm is around Bax. And both men look very much at peace.
